Upang or Darshan

Difference between Philosophy and Darshan: Philosophy => Ideas, theory whereas Darshan => how to get such Ideas, theory into every day life.

There are six astik darshans (schools of philosophy): Nyaya, Vaiseshika, Sankhya, Yoga, Poorva Mimamsa and Uttara Mimamsa or Vedanta. By astik, it is meant that these darshans accept Ved as praman and not that they believe in existence of God or otherwise.

And there are 6 nastik darshans. By nastik, it is meant that these darshans donot accept Ved as praman and not that they don't believe in existence of God or otherwise.
