Civilizational
Geography of Aryavarta / Bharat has changed many times. Within its geography many kingdoms with different boundaries have been created, sustained and then got destroyed. During ancient time, geographic spread of Sanaatan society can't be ascertained with certainty. It is believed to be spread across all known lands to Jambudweep [current Eurasia Contintent] to Brihad Bharat to modern day India.
Different dynasties extablished kingdoms at different location with different boundaries, boundaries changed due to many wars. Until recently [until Muslim rulers came] boundary of a kingdom never impacted culture of the society. Society remained Sanaatani, though rulers changed.
This section will cover duration from Vedic Times and use Puranic descriptions to current time, describing as many kings/ rulers as available & possible. The time dimension has been divided into many sections.
