Krishna Yajur Ved

Ved Vyas had tasked Vaishampayan to compile Yajur Ved. As stated under Shukla Yajur Ved section, Yagnyavalkya compiled Shukla Yajur Ved. The original Yajur came to be called Krishna Yajur Ved. There are four branches (Shakha) of Krishna Yajur Ved and hence there are 4 Samhitas [Collectionn of Riks (Matra)] and 4 Brahmans:  Taittireey, Maitrayani, Kathaka and Katha-Kapisthala.
